Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
Bissetutka is a crowdsourced map of pint prices in Finland. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect as little as we can.
Who is responsible
The data controller is R46. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@bissetutka.org.
What we collect
- Email address — used only to send you a sign-in link (magic link) and to identify your account.
- Nickname — chosen by you. It is shown publicly next to your contributions and on the leaderboard.
- Price reports — the prices you submit, with the bar and a timestamp. These are public.
- Closed-bar votes — recorded against your account so you can vote only once per bar.
- Location — if you tap “My location”, your browser’s geolocation is used to centre the map. It stays on your device and is not stored or sent to us.
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we can process it (legal basis)
We process your email on the basis of performing our agreement with you (you cannot sign in without it). Your nickname, price reports and votes are processed on the basis of your consent, given when you submit them. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase — hosting, database and authentication.
- Our email provider — delivers your sign-in emails.
These providers act as processors under data-processing agreements and only handle data to provide their service.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Price reports may remain on the map after deletion but are no longer linked to your identity.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@bissetutka.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish data protection authority (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi).
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
